He didn't like seeing anger in those chocolate eyes. It was like adding not-enough cream to black coffee; pointless and still bitter. )

Author's Notes: In season two, Yamato is shown to have formed a band. His father also used to play the bass guitar, although I believe that it was purely recreational.

He loved how easy it was to create music, vibrations rolling off his tongue and into his fingers as they cradled his father's guitar. )

Author's Note: The lullaby is mine, the characters are not. Watch out for fluff.

In the beginning he'd hated it there. )

Author's Note: Sometimes it takes a while to notice the obvious.

He kisses Yamato because he wants to, because he loves him, and can't help himself. He keeps apologizing, he's so sorry, he should have noticed before and said something, anything, but he's always been stupid and what was Yamato doing, trying to be discreet? Discretion has never worked with him and probably never will; that's Yamato's area of expertise and he’s too good at keeping himself locked away. Yamato has looked vulnerable for days but still had that biting sarcasm and he’d been so very afraid, but it didn’t matter anymore. “I've always loved you, Taichi,” Yamato whispers, and as easily as that, he’s forgiven.

"My Greatest Moment"

And then that our roles would reverse themselves… But then I suppose I am getting ahead of myself. I apologise; I get easily distracted.

This is supposed to be a story about the greatest moment I ever experienced. I personally think that such a story can never truly be written, for how can you ever tell a true story in the one way that gives it justice? You can’t, or at least I can’t. But I don’t want to fail this class, so I guess I’ll have to try.

Did I mention that I’m easily distracted?
